Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest Rally: A Thrilling Tradition
Since its inception in 2006, the Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest Rally has grown from a small gathering into one of the premier motorcycle events in the United States. Originally organized by local businesses to showcase the beauty and charm of the Lake of the Ozarks, the rally has become a beloved tradition for riders across the nation.
The Lake of the Ozarks area, renowned for its motorcycle-friendly atmosphere, welcomes riders with open arms and offers unparalleled scenic beauty. With its winding roads, stunning vistas, and the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation, it’s no wonder this destination has become a bucket-list favorite for motorcycle enthusiasts.
What started with just 2,500 to 3,000 attendees has now blossomed into an event that draws over 125,000 participants annually. Celebrating its 18th year, the Bikefest Rally promises an unforgettable experience, featuring:
- Over 300 bars and restaurants to fuel up and unwind.
- 50+ live music and entertainment events to keep the energy high.
- Vibrant vending areas offering gear, souvenirs, and more.
Join thousands of riders from across the U.S. in celebrating the spirit of the open road at the Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest Rally—a tradition that’s as exciting as the destination itself.

The Official History of Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest
In early 2007, a small handful of lake area entrepreneurs and motorcycle enthusiasts joined forces to create a motorcycle rally at Lake of the Ozarks, with the hopes of sharing the natural beauty of the Ozarks with fellow bikers from across the country. The Lake has everything to offer that makes it the perfect destination; a great location in middle America with hundreds of miles of scenic rides all around the lake, and a resort community that would welcome a fall motorcycle rally!
With all the pieces in place, on Thursday, September 13th, 2007, all the efforts and investment finally paid off! To say the first annual Bikefest was a huge success would be an understatement! Twenty bars & restaurants participated as passport stops, with great entertainment all around the Lake, making the first annual Bikefest, the start of a world class motorcycle rally. The Missouri Division of Tourism estimated 9,700 visitors came to the Lake for the first annual Bikefest, plus another 600 local participants! Today, Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest is one of the largest rallies in the country with upwards of 150, 000 bikers traveling from all over the country and internationally.
